About MHS

Established in 1969, MHS is the largest and oldest public high school in CNMI and has a storied legacy of success. Despite its old bones, it is home to about 1,600 students every year. Sometimes it is difficult to fathom that the school has this many students in its hallways and classrooms every day! Therefore, MHS is incredibly rich in diversity among its students and staff.

MHS is known for many of its robust Fine and Performance Arts such as Glee Club, Speech & Debate, Thespian, video productions, concert band, cultural clubs, and more. It has a burgeoning STEM program with several years of students winning the Real World Design Challenge, Green Dream Home Competition, and Congressional App challenge. Moreover, there is a wide variety of Advanced Placement courses in our course offering.

Excitedly, MHS will be the home of a state-of-the-art two-story Career & Technical Education building that will constructed soon for its Automotive Technology, Business & Career Education, Cosmotology Academy, Teacher Academy, Health Sciences, and Theatre Arts.

The legacy of Marianas High School is a cornerstone of the CNMI as an educational institution, and it continues to thrive and grow. More great things to expect at Marianas High School!
