The Counseling Department is excited to open registration for Fall 2026 ASVAB testing!
The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) is a nationally recognized assessment that helps students discover their strengths and explore possible career paths. While it's commonly used by the military, it's also a great tool for any student who wants insight into their abilities and future options. Over one million students take it every year!

MY MARIANAS: High School Competition
The Marianas Visitors Authority launched the My Marianas 2040 High School Ideas Competition on Monday, Sept. 21, for students in Grades 9-12 attending public or private schools in Saipan, Tinian, or Rota. The competition invites students to share their ideas for the future of The Marianas. Entries will be accepted through Oct. 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ChST.
The competition asks students: "What do you imagine The Marianas could be like in 2040? How could your idea help make the Marianas a better place to live, work, and visit?"

Student Attire & Academic Environment Standard
At Marianas High School, our goal is to provide every student with a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment where they can learn, grow, and prepare for success beyond high school. As part of this commitment, MHS is reinforcing our expectations regarding student attire and appearance. We want to be clear that this effort is not simply about enforcing a dress code. It is about establishing an academic standard that reflects the purpose of our school environment and the values we expect our students to demonstrate.
The CNMI Public School System Rules and Regulations, §60-20-464 - Student Attire and Appearance, establishes expectations regarding attire that causes distraction, inhibits learning, creates a safety concern, or disrupts the educational process.
What Does This Mean for Our Students?
We are asking our students to consider the environment they are in and make choices that support learning.

Moving forward, MHS will work to ensure that student attire expectations are communicated and addressed consistently, respectfully, and fairly.
Students can expect staff to address concerns professionally and provide an opportunity to correct issues when appropriate. Our goal is not to embarrass or shame students, but to help them understand expectations, make responsible choices, and take ownership of their decisions.
We also ask parents and guardians to review the attached Student Attire & Academic Environment Standard with their students and discuss the importance of coming to school prepared to learn.
